it's been a while, almost an entire month. not much is going on. la vérité is playing shows with the american dollar, tera melos, moving mountains, and standby red 5, as well as we are currently booking our summer tour because a few things fell through.
other than that, writing has been slow [in fact, not really happening], but we've decided that we are going to track the album entirely to 2" tape with mr. pete drivere and have it mixed by mr. john congleton. we have 2 songs completely finished and have several very developed ideas.
college is coming to a very slow close. one week of classes & one week of finals left and then we're done for the summer. ryan and i finalized our lease at eagles landing the other day and that's about it.
finals are looming...

80 days til tour.
-the countdown begins now.
andrew, derek, doug, and i sat down and finished two more songs for the upcoming release over the break. 3 songs down. 4 to go? 5 to go? i don't know. brando is booking the tour with the invasion agency out of cleveland, so the shows for the tour should be pretty stellar. excitement is brewing! many days in andrew's hot & sticky blazer await...
school is moving along and my scores are relatively good. i am not really shitting about it anymore; i've got my shit under control right now.
i bought a bicycle, it's name is murray.
and more importantly...

- less than 7 days until spring break
- this shit is ridiculous
la vérité is getting stronger again and it feels pretty cool to be behind a drum set again. it feels residual, which it sort of is. derek is really fitting well and it's ridiculous how well we all get along. hopefully within the next few weeks we can be completely solid performance-wise on the current catalogue of material and can continue writing the new album of songs. cool.
8 weeks into a 16 week semester. half way feels like three quarters of the way and that fucking sucks. i am going to go home to sleep, play music, and see my people for 9 days and we will see where i stand after that.
small personal victory #1: someone referred to my facial hair as a "beard" today. welcome to manhood, adam!
small personal victory #2: ash likes my beard.
i am especially stoked on the american dollar's latest release "a memory stream."

at least it's getting warmer
busy life. last week i had a lot of school business to attend to and then tyler quit la vérité. shit's a bummer, but the remaining 3 of us decided it would be advantageous for me to start playing drums again. luckily, we tried out our friend derek on bass guitar and we're pretty certain he's going to work out.
other than that, nothing is going on. i am unbelievably bored/swamped with school work and i need to start looking for a job. oh, ryan and i are about sign a lease for our apartment in kent for next year, so that's pretty cool.

like these
i turned 19 but i still feel 18. i guess there isn't a huge difference except that i cut all of my hair off. la vérité played a house show over the weekend and it was real fun. playing houses is something that we've only done a handful of times, but, they tend to be my favorite shows. there's not a more intimate setting. it's so funny to play dramatic instrumental music at a party because no one really knows how to react. a cool group of friends at the 155 were super responsive and it really made the show. the promo machine for our next grog shop show is starting to move [if you want a ticket...] and the 28th should be considerably intense.
off subject, the single most influential musical act from my childhood and a large portion of my teenage years, blink182, reunited, and that sparked a whole lot of nostalgia. kind of wild.
my room mate is fucking loud.
