there is a

tear in the fabric

so, i started school again: math, politics, philosophy, history. since it is only the second week of class, most instructors are still getting their bearings and not much is going on. it proves to be rather boring and annoying. i spend a lot of time listening to music and sleeping. sometimes it feels as though music could fix all of life's problems [or at least my own]; but, alas, it cannot.

la vérité is playing shows selectively and passively writing for our next album. the material we've turned out thus far is pretty impressive by our own standards. i really love those guys to death, they're my brothers, and i really miss them when i am in kent. our friend adam magana took photos of us a few weeks ago and came to our show in kent saturday night to document that event as well. the photographs are turning out very well and i insist you to check out his photography at the link at the bottom of the post.

i haven't anything else.

what we all

have in common

as a change of pace, i have decided to list the albums of music that are currently tickling my fancy:

in no order:

mono - you are there
mono - walking cloud and deep red sky
hammock - raising your voice... trying to stop an echo
various artists - the darjeeling limited soundtrack
battles - EP C
the beatles - sgt. pepper's lonely hearts club band
death cab for cutie - narrow stairs
this will destroy you - s/t
maps and atlases - trees, swallows, houses
owen - at home with owen
radiohead - in rainbows
the six parts seven - casually smashed to pieces
this will destroy/lymbyc systym - the field studies EP

very nice work.

i am not a philosopher. none of this is philosophy, and i don't believe it to be. my apologies if anyone took this blog the wrong way. these are simply musings.

six days at the

bottom of the ocean

"the sky remains the same as ever"

i guess that no matter what way you look at it, we're all going through the same things. none of us are special. my blogs are becoming redundant, but i feel like they're all important. whatever, maybe i'll feel something more profound tomorrow.

are you

there?

i dedicate this blog to the band mono (japan).

god will close all of the doors and the universe will collapse in on itself like a home set ablaze. life will never completely make itself clear and we see the same days over and over again. no one can reverse the complexities of what is real. i hope that one day everyone can just rest their eyes and forget that any of this ever happened. i will never say who has hurt me the most, but i find that in the end, i'll just exhale and ask

did it ever matter anyways?

life is unforgiving and unpredictable. sleep easy and well. make the best out of this glorious miracle.

welcome to two thousand and nine. i'm going to kent tomorrow to look at houses with rharri. i've found that i have so much free time that... well... that it's really brilliant, but when it comes down to it, i tend to wallow. but, not only do i physically wallow, but i also wallow mentally. my thoughts drift in and out of importance and relevance to my real life, outside of this wishy-washy bullshit mental state i find myself in. this is a dangerous place to be, i am lackadaisically wandering through my thoughts. i don't know, this shit is weird. hopefully it will end to some extent when i go back to college in a few weeks.

take care.
